Support for Migrants and Refugees to Start Business is a social enterprise dedicated to provides top quality support for new Kiwis to achieve better economic wellbeing and social integration. We believe that in order to achieve equality in the outcome we should apply equity to the process and not the other way, and because people have different needs when it comes to setting up their own business or integrate in a new society then they need different types and levels of support in order to achieve equal outcome. Therefore, SSB tailors its services to the client’s special and unique needs being linguistic, financial, cultural or other needs.

Many Kiwis who come to NZ as migrants or from refugee backgrounds are very talented, experienced and skillful, they are also hard workers, highly self-motivated and innovative, they bring many years of experience and rich cultures to New Zealand and can contribute greatly to the growth and development of our beautiful country.

Migrants and refugees face many obstacles when they arrive to their new countries. Obstacles in terms of language, networks, cultural competency,  apprehending and understanding the local laws and regulations, local norms and legal and economic systems.  One of our unique services is working with clients in their own language through trained Cultural Bridging Specialists and Facilitators. People in general feel more confident and relaxed when working with someone who is not only able to understand their language but also their culture and mindset.
